Requirements and Information for joining:

Prerequisites for joining our program:

Able to attend regular Wednesday Night meetings (5:30-9:00PM) at Central Station in Aurora, IL

Willing to devote other time for helping the post and Fire Department.

A good attitude and willingness to listen and learn is essential.

Post member cap is 35 members.  After 35 members are met a waiting list will be created.

No fire or EMS background or knowledge is required.

Other Information on being a post member are located in the S.O.P's (standard operating procedures) section.

Willing to accept our alcohol and drug free zero tolerance standards

All explorers will be screened by a background check

Aurora residents get preference for joining when the post is full and a list is created.  Applicants from other cities are welcome to apply for the program at any time.
